Summer is coming! Make these super yummy homemade pupsicles to help your puppy cool off! These frozen peanut butter dog treats are so easy to make! Make a big batch and keep it in your freezer. Make sure to use the best ingredients for your dog! Don’t use peanut butter with xylitol in the ingredients because it is very, very bad for them!
You will need:
- 1 part peanut butter
- 2 parts chicken stock
- about 1/4 of an apple peeled and diced for each part
- 1 TBSP of honey for each part
- a mold
- ice cube molds, try to find the silicone molds because they pop out so easily!
- a zip lock bag to put the frozen treats in
- a spoon to mix with
- a measuring cup
Pour chicken stock into a measuring cup. For this recipe I used 1/2 cup of chicken stock. Then add your peanut butter and honey. I used 1/4 of peanut butter and 1TBSP of honey. Mix it up well. If it doesn’t mix easily, you can warm it up in the microwave and mix it again until it’s combined.
Add your diced apples and mix it up again. I used about 1/4 of an apple.
Pour the mix into your molds and freeze it for a couple of hours until it’s hard.
Pop them out of your mold and put them in a zip lock bag and keep it in your freezer.
That’s it! Take one out on a super hot day to help your puppy cool off!
