For Day 5, I made these awesome DIY Ornament Candles! You can make them in any scent or even more than 1 scent in the jar! They would make perfect presents for your parents, teachers, or anyone who loves candles. I’m going to make one for my mom, who are you going to make one for?
You will need:
- Red, Green, White Granulated Candle Wax
- I bought mines at Hobby Lobby, you can find them online too!
- Scented Oils
- Ornament Shaped Jars
- I got mines at Target, I also saw something similar at IKEA
- Candle Wicks
- Super Low Temp Glue Gun
Glue the candle wick onto the bottom of the jar.
Pick out an oil scent that you like. You can use one scent for the whole jar like I did, or you can use a different scent for each color. Add in a few drops everytime you switch colors. You could also premix the oil into the granulated wax ahead of time instead of adding it on every layer.
Layer the wax into the jar, you can tilt the jars to make the layers form different designs.
That’s it! You’re done! You can put the lid on top and wrap it up as a gift, or just use it for yourself! My room smells so good!
Don’t forget to show me what you make! Send me pictures, post it on FB, Hashtag #WeDIYwithOllie on Instagram, or tweet me on Twitter: @DIYwithOllie!
