It’s been so long!!! I missed you guys so much! I’m super happy to be back and making videos again. We are going to start with this super cute DIY No-Sew Cat Face Pillow! I got the idea one night looking at my oldest cat, Widget. Her face is super cute and I wanted to make something that looks like her. Her birthday is coming up too! Let’s get started on this Cat Face Cushion Tutorial!
You will need:
- pillow stuffing
- fabric glue
- disappearing fabric marker (I lost mines, so I had to use a sharpie)
- a small piece of white felt
- two big pieces of felt in any color you’d like. I chose black and grey for my pillow.
First, put the two big pieces of felt together so they match.
Then draw a big fat oval, about 2 inches bigger than the size of the pillow you want.
Cut out the oval along the lines. Then flip the opposite sides together so the marker doesn’t show. (If you use disappearing fabric ink, you can skip flipping the felt.)
Now cut 2 inch into the fabric all the way around the circle. You can make it thin or thick depending on what kind of fringe you want in the end. I did about 1/2 inch pieces.
Take the matching top and bottom pieces of fringe and tie them together, do this almost all the way around the oval. Leave a little bit untied so you can stuff it.
Stuff it with the cotton until you like how it feels. Then finish tying the rest of the fringe.
Now take the scraps of fabric left over from cutting the oval. Use them to cut out your kitty cats face. You can be as creative as you want here. You can make a super happy kitty, or even a mean and evil kitty.
Place the pieces onto your pillow to see how they would look. When you are happy with the way your kitty looks, glue the pieces down with fabric glue and let it dry!
That’s it! You’re done! You can decorate the back of your pillow if you’d lke too! Isn’t it the cutest cat face pillow you’ve ever seen?
