It’s back to school time! This DIY Mermaid Sequin Binder Cover is super awesome! It is so fun to play with! Everyone will want one. Since there are so many reversible sequin shirts now, you can pick any design you want to cover your binder. Make sure to get a bunch of them during the back to school sales! It doesn’t have to be a new flip-sequin shirt either! You can also reuse any old shirts with fun patterns and designs!
You will need:
- glue gun
- mermaid sequin/reversible sequin shirts
- I bought a kids XL to make sure it covers my binder.
- a binder
- a matching ribbon
- a marker
Flip your shirt inside out. Place your binder over the your shirt and position it so the design you want is in the middle of the binder. Trace around the binder with a marker. Take the binder off and draw another line 1 inch bigger than the traced binder line. Cut along the bigger line.
Position your binder over the front piece of the shirt, make sure the design is where you want it to be on the front of the binder. Then glue the top and bottom edges down to the binder. Make sure to smooth out any wrinkles before pressing it down on the glue. Then glue the hanging edge to the binder. Repeat this with the back piece.
The last edge is along the back of the binder, glue the edges of both sides down. Then take your piece of ribbon and glue it to the back to cover the back of the binder. Fold the ribbon over and onto the inside of the binder and glue it down as well.
That’s it! Your binder cover is done! Now you can have a blast playing with the reversible sequins!
