My birthday is this Thursday (February 23rd) and I am turning 5! So I am sharing with you these awesome, super yummy, and super easy to make birthday cake cookies! This recipe is very quick to put together and makes tons of cookies to share with all of your friends.
You will need:
- 1 box of vanilla cake mix
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup of melted butter
- 1 TBSP of water
- 1 ziplock bag
- 1/2 a bottle of rainbow sprinkles (cylinder/jimmies)
- a couple TBSPs of rainbow nonpareils sprinkles
- wax or parchment paper
- cookie sheet
Pour the whole package of cake mix into the ziplock bag. Then add 1 egg, 1/2 cup of butter, 1 TBSP of water, and 1/2 a bottle of the rainbow jimmies. Close the bag and mix it all up!
When it’s thoroughly mixed, pull out little chunks of dough and roll them into tiny balls. You can make them any size you want. I made mines about dime to nickle sized.
Dip your cookie dough balls into the nonpareils sprinkles and place them with the sprinkles facing up on your cookie sheet. Place them about an inch apart and flatten them a tiny bit.
Bake them at 350°F for about 4-6 minutes depending on the size of your cookies. Just keep an eye on them and take them out when they are getting a little bit golden around the edges. (Ask an adult if you are young and do not know how to use an oven!)
That’s it! Let it cool a little bit and they’re ready to eat! Celebrate my birthday with me and share them with all of your friends and family!
